“This off-site modular project involves a series of
high-quality shared internal amenity spaces and various themed roof gardens for
the community to enjoy. Its slender form responds to Richard Seifert’s nearby
NLA tower. Horizontal concrete bands are woven into deeply recessed angled
piers of blue-grey ceramic glazed tiles, which are brushed in different directions
to create a variety of textures. Special corner piers and interesting stacks of
recessed balconies complete the composition”.

A Three Project Commision. Poplar HARCA have commissioned Metropolitan Workshop to develop related proposals for three infill sites in East London. The site is currently occupied by the HARCA maintenance team. To enable this site to be developed, the maintenance team will need to move to alternative accommodation near Devons Road (site 3). Another site, located in Rounton Road (site 2) currently housing some storage for the landscape team, which will be refurbished and extended and facades and public realm around the site updated. Currently in Tender stage. Starting on site in January 2019
